Digital Scholarship: Text Analysis

Text analysis, or “distant reading,” is a powerful and versatile methodology within digital scholarship. This workshop will introduce several different types of text analysis, discuss important applications, and highlight common misconceptions. Participants will learn the basic process for preprocessing text for analysis and will be introduced to Voyant, an online text mining platform.
