Join us to celebrate the life of Michael Elliott through word and song. All are welcome and invited.
Throughout his thirteen years on campus, Michael was a stalwart in the musical theatre area…always present, always available, always positive. His demeanor was of a valued friend…a supportive parent…a sincere colleague. Often unassuming and quiet, some might overlook his brilliance. But the word brilliant is EXACTLY what he was as a teacher, a collaborator, a musician, a mentor, a human being, a friend, a dad, a spouse. He was devoted to his students, his family, and his friends. He had a wicked sense of humor and a caring disposition.
He was, simply put, a truly good and decent man. Michael’s passing will leave a gigantic hole in the BSU Department of Theatre and Dance family…a void that will not be filled anytime soon. Our students, especially those who were a part of the “MElliott Studio” will recall his simple mantra to think “breath and sound” whenever they encountered a difficult moment of singing. He was, always, a thoughtful and loving dad to his students. We are thinking of Kate, Rose, William, and his family as they endure this unfathomable loss.
