math teacher in classroom

Dual-Credit (Secondary)

Not Yet a Teacher?

If you have a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field but aren’t yet a teacher, please see our fellowship program.

If you teach dual credit courses in a STEM subject in Indiana and need to complete graduate STEM courses, you can meet those requirements through our academy’s program for licensed teachers.

STEM teachers who wish to participate must currently teach in either:

  • underserved Indiana school corporations
  • Indiana schools experiencing a shortage of qualified STEM teachers

All participants in the Hoosier STEM Academy will also be invited to participate in the Hoosier STEM Academy Mentoring Conference in Summer 2022.

If you are an elementary or middle school math teacher in Indiana and want to earn the Indiana Elementary Mathematics Specialist license, you can add on that license to your existing Indiana license by completing the requirements for the Master of Arts in Mathematics Education (for elementary and middle school math education specialists).

Elementary or middle school math teachers who wish to participate must currently teach in either:

  • underserved school corporations or
  • Indiana schools experiencing a shortage of licensed elementary math specialists
