If you teach dual credit courses in a STEM subject in Indiana and need to complete graduate STEM courses, you can meet those requirements through our academy’s program for licensed teachers.

If you have a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field but aren’t yet a teacher, please see our fellowship program.

  • underserved Indiana school corporations
  • Indiana schools experiencing a shortage of qualified STEM teachers

All participants in the Hoosier STEM Academy will also be invited to participate in the Hoosier STEM Academy Mentoring Conference in Summer 2021.

You can select courses that use online, blended, and/or distance education instructional designs, as well as traditional face-to-face options.

Financial Aid for Teachers

Upon completion of a course with a grade of C or higher, you will receive a $1,400 stipend to help cover the cost of:

  • tuition
  • fees
  • materials

The following table breaks down tuition and various fees, per class (three credits), for students in the Hoosier STEM Academy at Ball State. Please note that the online option applies to students in the program for teachers, while the fellows program is on campus.
