Meeting in small groups on a regular basis has been proven to reduce feelings of isolation, alienation, and distress. In fact, groups can help increase emotional awareness, support, and resiliency as well! Overall, groups can be beneficial in empowering and promoting positive changes in the lives of its members.
The BSU Counseling Practicum Clinic currently offers two groups in an online format:
- Grief and loss coping skills group which is an opportunity to learn coping skills and connect with people over shared experiences. Learn more (PDF).
- Maternal mental health group which provides education, tools, and support to pregnant women and new mothers. Learn more (PDF).
