Explore the mechanisms of drug action, enlighten the public on endangered plant species, or pursue one of the many other concentrations we offer in biology, pre-health, and teaching.
Review our admission requirements and apply through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions if you plan to major in one of our fields of biology, pre-health, or teaching.
If you’re applying to a graduate program, you’ll need to be admitted by both the Graduate School and the program itself. Also, consider applying for one of our department’s graduate assistantships to gain meaningful experience in our field while helping cover the costs of your education.
You won’t just sit in a classroom at Ball State. You’ll gain hands-on experience in our labs and nearby field research site. And many of our professors recruit students to assist in their research. We also offer field studies abroad, which will give you a chance to experience other cultures and geographies while deepening your understanding of our field. And we have student organizations for nearly any area of biology that you’re interested in.
You’ll have access to the resources you need as a student and scholar through our Aquatic Biology and Fisheries Center, Rinard Orchid Greenhouse, Christy Woods, and Cooper Farm, among other centers, facilities, and collections on and off campus.
Find your advisor, student organizations you can join, important dates and deadlines, and contact information for our graduate assistants.
