The Department of Finance and Insurance opens doors to two distinct career paths essential to the business of creating, managing, and protecting wealth. Both of our nationally recognized programs provide you with excellent academic preparation through small classes led by expert faculty and hands-on experience with real-world business challenges and opportunities.

Finance
Our finance program—recognized nationally for quality of teaching—is designed to help you understand the mechanics of financial markets and develop the analytical and quantitative skills necessary for success. Three concentration options—plus plenty of opportunities for internships and applied learning—prepare you for careers in investment, financial planning, and more.

Risk Management and Insurance
The Miller College of Business is one of fewer than 70 accredited business schools in the nation with undergraduate risk management and insurance programs. Earning accolades across the country, our risk management and insurance program provides you with an understanding of how risks are managed and financed in the business world and preparation for a range of careers—plus a head start toward premier professional designation.
