Ball State offers the only deaf education program in Indiana. Our students have the opportunity to take part in a one-year residential field experience at the Indiana School for the Deaf.

David McIntosh , Ph.D., HSPP, ABPP, was recently named the David and Joanna Meeks Distinguished Professor in Special Education. His specialization is in the identification and treatment of autism spectrum disorders.
