What Can You Do With a Degree in Anthropology or Sociology?

Majors in our department provide a strong foundation in critical thinking and analytical skills that apply to many academic and professional fields. One of the best benefits to an anthropology or sociology degree is that what you learn will be widely applicable to many professional fields. Human resources, cultural resource management, market research, public health, labor relations, government employment, counseling and victim services—these are just a few of the areas where our graduates excel.

Activities and Opportunities

As one of our students, you’ll learn and grow beyond your classroom work. You’ll get to better know our field and those of us in it through professional organizations, field study, and internships. You can challenge yourself by joining our honor society. And you’ll get to see the world through study abroad programs.
