The School of Physical Education at Ball State University offers a B.S. degree with a option in sport administration. A growing concern within sporting industry management is that employees will not have the specialized training required of sport administrators.
Ball State University is committed to producing quality administrators. The program prepares students for opportunities in professional sports, intercollegiate sports, and other sporting affiliations. Students are required to fulfill a 12-hour internship.
In addition to the program requirements, students are encouraged to pursue and acquire work experience in their fields of interest. Extracurricular activities are a source of networking and an opportunity to develop leadership skills, besides allowing students to become acquainted with administrators in sports organizations.
