Ball State University's landscape architecture faculty are part of a team of more than 50 full-time professors, instructors, and visiting scholars in the College of Architecture and Planning who are committed to teaching, research, practice, and public service.
These teacher-scholars have studied and taught in leading academic institutions throughout the world, and most have professional experience in the subject areas they teach. They apply their knowledge and skills through projects in communities throughout the state and region.
The landscape architecture faculty pursue diverse research and scholarly interests. Their individual areas of creative and scholarly work include: design and creative expression at all levels and scales; sustainability, both cultural and ecological; social and historical issues in the built environment; digital and traditional methods of representation; and the ethics and ethos of the profession and landscape practice in today's world.
