Student-based organizations affiliated with Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning offer special professional, educational, and social activities that complement the academic curricula. These groups help students of similar interests and aspirations connect with each other, succeed in their studies, and prepare for careers in their field.

CAP Student Help Association (CAPSHA)
This interdisciplinary organization promotes interaction between different class levels existing in CAP.
Glue (Architecture Journal)
Glue is an annual nonprofit student journal produced and managed by students in the Department of Architecture.
American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS)
This organization of architecture students is designed to promote the architecture profession. To become a member, a student must be a second- through fifth-year student enrolled in the Department of Architecture and pay the $45 dues, which are required by the national bylaws. National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS)
This group addresses the needs and concerns of minority architecture students and professionals. Contact: Department of Architecture, 285-1900.
Construction Specifications Institute (CSI)
This organization provides networking opportunities for students and further educates students on current construction technology issues and information.
American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA)
This organization promotes the conscious environmental design, promotes the ideals and principles of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and enhances the educational and social aspects of landscape architecture students. Sigma Lambda Alpha (SLA)

Student Planning Association (SPA)
This group organizes planning students in an effort to promote planning issues among themselves and the surrounding communities. Learn more.
Associated Students for Historic Preservation (ASHP)
