The Alumni Council is the governing body of the Alumni Association and consists of the Executive Committee, 15 at-large members, and representatives from each constituent society.
The group meets at least three times per year and duties range from passing the by-laws that govern the Alumni Association, selection of two members of the Board of Trustees and to adopt the Association's annual budget. Members participate in committees that include the Executive Committee, consisting of Council officers who implement and recommend Council policy, and various other committees that determine a strategic plan, assess services and technology, review and select alumni scholarship recipients, and evaluate and choose alumni award recipients.
