Ball State University has a long history of being a community leader in giving. These past few years, with layoffs, cut backs, and a slowing economy, those in our community with the greatest needs often suffer the most. The building blocks of this year's Delaware County United Way campaign are the basic things that we all need for a good life:

  1. education that leads to a stable job
  2. income that can support a family through retirement, and
  3. good health

At Ball State University, this campaign effort offers several ways to give:

  1. Payroll Deduction Card. Payroll deductions are for the purpose of breaking the donation into payments over an extended period of time. Payroll deductions for United Way campaign contributions will begin in January after the close of the current year's campaign and will be taken out monthly up through the following December. If you would like to make a lump-sum donation, please write a personal check made out to United Way of Delaware County and submit it with your pledge card.
  2. One-time donation. Please include your check made out to Delaware County United Way, or cash with your blue pledge card.
  3. Those wishing to pay quarterly may check that option on the blue pledge card. Reminders for quarterly donations will come to you directly from United Way.
  4. Another option is to volunteer. Several of the Community Partners have a need for volunteers throughout the year. For more information on how you can volunteer, contact the Delaware County United Way office at 765-288-5586.

Designations may also be made to other charitable causes in other communities and those that are not affiliated with United Way.
