University College is accepting nominations for the Lawhead Teaching Award in General Education.
The award recognizes teachers who have made outstanding contributions to the University Core Curriculum. Any staff or faculty member or student can nominate a teacher. Applications are due April 8 in the core curriculum office, North Quad, room 331.
The award is named for Victor Lawhead, former dean of undergraduate programs, and his wife, Doris, a former academic adviser. The Lawhead teacher receives a cash award, plaque and recognition at the fall faculty meeting.
