The Miller College of Business and its accounting program at Ball State University have maintained their business accreditation by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The Miller College has been accredited continuously since 1978; the accounting program has been separately accredited since 1990.

AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world's business programs. Today, there are 727 business schools in 48 countries and territories that maintain AACSB Accreditation. Similarly, 182 institutions maintain an additional specialized AACSB Accreditation for their accounting programs.

"It takes a great deal of commitment and determination to earn and maintain AACSB Accreditation," said Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. "Business schools must not only meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculty, and professional staff must make a commitment to ongoing continuous improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver the highest quality of education to students."

The Miller College enrolls more than 3,100 students in 14 undergraduate and three graduate programs and has more than 90 full-time faculty members. It offers a full range of undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs.

"We are very proud here in the Miller College to have both our business and accounting programs reaccredited by AACSB," said Dean Rajib Sanyal. "The accreditation maintenance process was an opportunity to evaluate how we, as a college, are functioning and provided us with feedback on how to continue to improve and grow as an institution." The visitation team cited our numerous advisory boards, our success in creating a culture of assessment and our engagement with alumni as distinctive features.
