Ray manages the fundraising teams and works with college deans and University leadership to achieve fundraising goals. Before arriving at Ball State University in 2021, he served at the University of Central Florida (UCF) as Executive Director for Advancement.
Ray has a servant’s heart, which is evident in both his professional life and his enthusiasm for volunteering.
He has spent much of his career fundraising for youth organizations and educational institutions, including an executive stint with the Boy Scouts of America in Georgia, where he earned awards for fundraising and membership growth.
Ray has served as a board member on the National Eagle Scout Association, Central Florida; Mentors for Martin County (Florida); and Friends of the Carr Refuge. After moving to Indiana, Ray didn’t wait to get involved, volunteering his leadership on the East Central Indiana Regional Planning Board, the Muncie Riverfront District Board, and the Central Indiana Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Ray and his wife, Karen, live in Muncie. They have two children, Reagan, a University of North Florida graduate, and Lincoln, a current student at BSU. Ray enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and being at the beach.
