Katie's experience at Ball State gave her a passion for advocacy. She is on track to earn her master's at Teachers College of Columbia University, New York.
While at Ball State, she worked with a student team to create a support group and resource guide for people living with HIV/AIDS in Delaware County with Meridian Services as their community partner.
"It was because of this immersive learning project that I developed a passion for advocacy and HIV care, especially as both relate to mental health care. This experience gave me confidence in my future career choice and has helped me understand how I can apply what I am learning in my graduate classes."
