The Multicultural Advisory Board (MAB) is appointed by the Director of the Multicultural Center.
The Advisory Board serves as a student voice regarding issues of diversity and inclusion at Ball State University. The board works closely with the Multicultural Center to identify student concerns, serve as a sounding board for the university in addressing concerns, and act as a liaison to students and administrators regarding issues of diversity and inclusion.
Members of the Advisory Board represent multiple student perspectives on diversity and inclusion. The student organizations represented, have displayed a strong commitment to advancing the university's commitment to creating an inclusive campus community for all students.
The charge of the Advisory Board includes:
- Engage in thoughtful conversation with students regarding issues of diversity and inclusion.
- Identify the most prevalent student issues to be addressed.
- Invite appropriate university staff to engage in conversation about the identified student issues.
- Work with university administrators to make recommendations to address issues.
