The Student Action Team (SAT) is an organization dedicated to volunteering, raising awareness about important topics, and supporting Ball State University, as well as the Muncie community. Throughout the year, SAT hosts several educational and beneficial events that are open to all Ball State students.

SAT meets every Monday at 4 p.m. during the academic year in the Kinghorn Hall multipurpose room. Students may serve as one of their hall or complex council's elected SAT Representatives. All students are welcome to join SAT as a general member.

One new Ball State initiative organized by SAT is the Cardinal Closet, where faculty and staff members help students preparing for the interview process by donating men's and women's gently used and new professional dress clothing. The Cardinal Closet is open by appointment for eligible students to select up to three items a semester. This service is open to students who demonstrate financial need. Faculty and staff members are encouraged to refer students they know who may be in need.
