for diarrhea or any skin problems that persist for 2 weeks after returning from
travel.
Please review the CDC website at www.cdc.gov/travel for disease risk information, vaccine
recommendations and travel health education.
The Ball State Health Center highly recommends that students come in for a consultation before they travel abroad. The purpose is to identify any medical needs a student might have during travel and to make sure the student is educated about precautions they can take for their health before leaving, such as recommended or required immunizations and also precautions to take while abroad such as prevention of mosquito-borne diseases. At this time, each student needs to complete the pre-travel assessment form and submit this to the Health Center prior to being seen. Once this is received by the Health Center, the student will be given an appointment. Please call 765-285-8431 to discuss this process and obtain an appointment.
