students looking through a solar telescope during the daytimeCANCELLED, Glasses still available at planetarium - Weather permitting, come view the Sun through one of Ball State’s powerful Solar Telescopes setup at the Scramble Light. See the Sun in a very specific color of red light known as Hydrogen-alpha and see the atmospheric region of the Sun called the chromosphere. Learn about and see dramatic features like solar prominences, filaments, and flares!

Solar eclipse glasses will be available to community guests for a suggested cash donation of $1/pair, while supplies last. Limit 10 pairs per person. Ball State students, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to get their own eclipse glasses at distribution sites across campus. Glasses are partially funded through support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Simons Foundation. Learn more about the upcoming total solar eclipse happening at Ball State to prepare for this spectacular event.

Becoming More Visible Cal ImageAre you Male or Female? For the four fearless young transgender adults featured in the film this is not a simple question. These four defy societal norms to be their true selves and become more visible. None of their transitions is easy, but for some it is easier than for others."Becoming More Visible" seeks to help ignite the awareness and understanding needed to put an end to the discrimination of transgender young adults worldwide - to encourage society to see these young people for who they are today, not how they were born or choose to identify.
