University Libraries WorkshopThis workshop will assist students in learning to research and write program notes for recitals and other performances. Good program notes must be articulate, authoritative, and concise. They are how the musician communicates about their chosen repertoire, and they establish a listening context which is both musical and historical. Far different from a research paper, they pose distinct challenges to the performing musician. Join us as we discuss these challenges and develop strategies to overcome them.
