Nearly 40% of Americans share some German ancestry. Germans have come to the Americas in several distinct waves both pushed by conditions in Germany and pulled by the perceived opportunities in the Americas, especially the United States. Our presenter is an aficionado of this history and has accumulated copies of posters that have been used by various American companies and other organizations to attract German emigrants to the United States. These posters will also be a part of his presentation.

Amy Edmonds, Ball State University Libraries’ Music Librarian, will answer your questions and share tips for successful searching. Registration is suggested but not required.
