Tunnel of Oppression is an opportunity for individuals to experience a snapshot of the kind of oppression that people with historically marginalized identities may experience on a daily basis. Though this is a guided tour, students, faculty, and staff members will have the opportunity to explore a variety of unique and interactive booths designed to help people observe a simulation of oppression.
Those who complete the simulation will have the opportunity to debrief about their experience. This is designed to help people explore empathy and understanding as it pertains to all forms of oppression. If we don’t know what it looks like or how it impacts people, we won’t know how to stop it.
