About

Dr. Melanie Anne Herzog, a leading scholar on Elizabeth Catlett, explores Catlett’s life as an artist, her lifelong dedication to the expressive potential of form in her prints and sculpture, and her enduring artistic legacy.

A 5:00 p.m. reception will provide an opportunity to view the exhibition The Art of Elizabeth Catlett from the Samella Lewis Collection prior to the 6:00 p.m. talk in Recital Hall.

Visit bsu.edu/doma for more information on this event and the exhibition.

This free public presentation is made possible by Ball State’s Arts Alive Series, presented by the College of Fine Arts. Students are encouraged to attend.
