This fund is for faculty teaching a high-impact practice course (undergraduate research, immersive learning, or diverse perspectives) at Ball State. Typical awards will be up to $500.

Any faculty member who

  • is teaching an undergraduate Fall 2024 course at Ball State with the undergraduate research, immersive learning, or diverse perspectives Banner attribute;
  • who needs a small amount of money to complete a HIP project;
  • is eligible to apply for funds to cover costs that enrich the high-impact learning experience for students.

Courses with an Immersive Learning grant, BBN support, or other financial support are not eligible.

Funding can be used towards course costs including travel (bus charter, gas, entrance fees, etc.); equipment or materials necessary for the course; and/or other course-related costs as articulated by the applicant. Funds cannot be used to cover student tuition, fees, or textbooks; faculty/TA stipends or course buy-outs; for food; or for student stipends or wages.

Funding priority will go to faculty who best articulate how the small amount of funding will make a big impact on student learning.

Funds are limited. Funds will deposited into the faculty's RIA.

The deadline is August 30, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
