During this timeframe, students will be able to log-in to the online housing portal and choose their room to live in for the next Academic Year.

  • Prior to February 7, all students with renewed contracts will receive an email with a timeslot for them to begin Search/Swap. Please know that timeslots are assigned based on housing deposit dates (paid when completing the housing contract).
  • After assigned, timeslots will be viewable on the online housing portal.
  • Students will only be able to search/swap for the number of bed spaces available in the room specific to your path (for example, those who did not verify a roommate will only see available spaces on-campus that have one space available, whether that be single rooms or double rooms with one person occupying the second space. Alternatively, those without a verified roommate will only be able to select a room with two vacant bed spaces).
  • Once a space is selected you will also have the opportunity to add yourself to a waitlist. Waitlists are reviewed and offers are made from March through August as spaces become available.

After Returner Sign-Up concludes on Friday, February 24, students will receive an email confirmation to their Ball State email address with their housing assignment for the 2023-2024 Academic Year.
