The Muncie Action Plan has been guiding the redevelopment of Muncie since 2009. Learn about the history of the nonprofit organization, the newest strategic investment plan for Muncie, and how you can play a part in improving quality of life in our city.
Presenter:
Heather Williams, Associate Director Office of Community Engagement, Program Manager, Building Better Neighborhoods.
As an associate director of Ball State University’s Office of Community Engagement and Program Manager for Building Better Neighborhoods, Heather works directly with the city's neighborhood associations to help build capacity and make connections with Ball State University faculty, staff, students, and programs. She is actively involved in local housing issues as Secretary of the Muncie Land Bank and member of the 8 Twelve Coalition’s Steering and Housing Committees. Heather also helps move forward city-wide planning efforts as Vice-President and Task Force 3 leader for MAP. In her professional and non-profit work Heather advocates for strong neighborhoods, safe affordable housing, and sustainable living.
The Association of Lifelong Learners (ALL) is a group of retirees and community members interested in continuing to learn and engage with each other on a variety of educational topics.
