The memories and experiences of Terry M. Fauquher through the decade from Bethel Avenue to South Vietnam.
Drawing from his writings in his blog, “Growingupinthesixties.com a-blog by Terry M Fauquher”, will talk about entering the decade at ten years of age with the election on JFK and all the dreams of a better world, through preteen anxieties, laughing at high school immaturity, experiencing marriage at eighteen, becoming a father, and culminating with being wounded in Vietnam.
Terry grew up in Muncie and Yorktown was an Eagle Scout and attended Emerson Elementary, McKinley Jr High School, Yorktown High School, and Ball State University. He was a member of Riverside EUB Church and President of the Youth Group of that congregation. He was a Host Corps Delegate from Indiana to The Boy Scout World Jamboree in Cour d’Alene Idaho in 1967 where he was Master of Ceremonies for the 7-day event. He is the former Owner of Fauguher’s Flowers and past President of Yorktown Chamber of Commerce and the Bi-Centennial Commission. You may remember him as a long-time manager at Bradburn Oldsmobile Cadillac.
