Alumni and friends are invited to celebrate Dr. Gene Frankland and his 50-year career as a Political Science professor at Ball State. Dr. Frankland began teaching at Ball State University in 1972 after receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.  He is well known to political science majors for his Comparative Political Systems class, but he also regularly offers courses in Environmental Law, Western European Politics, Politics of the European Union, and British Politics.  He has served as director of the European Studies program at Ball State since 2001 and was the department’s original undergraduate faculty advisor.  He is the author of countless presentations and advised the Ball State Model EU team to several championships.
