End: December 6, 2023 4 p.m.
Location: Teachers College, Room 1008
You’re invited to the first event in the 2023-2024 Teachers College Dean’s Lecture Series, which takes place on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 3-4 p.m., in TC 1008, where Dr. Jocelyn Bolin will present: “Bayesian Regression Applied to Analysis of Electroencephalogram Data.”

It is well known that small sample sizes pose many challenges for statistical analysis. Unfortunately for many areas of research, small sample sizes are not only the norm, but are nearly impossible to avoid. One such area is the use of Electroencephalogram Data.

In this presentation, Dr. Jocelyn Bolin will share insights into her sabbatical project, where she investigated the use of the Bayesian statistical framework for regression analysis as applied to the analysis of Electroencephalogram Data.

Dr. Jocelyn Bolin is a professor of Educational Psychology at Ball State University, where she has been since 2009. Her teaching duties include graduate level research methods and statistics courses for the social sciences. Her areas of expertise include best practices for statistical prediction and classification, multilevel modeling, and the general linear model.
