The Teachers College Emens Distinguished Professorship Series is a yearlong focus on inclusive excellence, in which Ball State faculty, staff, and students; educators in Muncie community Schools, Burris, and the Indiana Academy; and Muncie community members have the opportunity to hear and participate in discussions on the topic of creating an inclusive campus and community.
Our next event is a discussion of the book, The Impossible Will Take a Little While, on November 12 from 5:00-6:30 pm in Student Center Cardinal Hall B.
We have FREE copies of the book available. Stop by Teachers College 1005 to get your free copy while supplies last!
You may read as much or as little as time allows. We will be discussing the first half of the book on November 12. Scholars and community members are leading the discussion:
Part 1: Seeds of the Possible – Gilbert Park (Assoc Professor, Educational Studies)
Part 2: Dark Before the Dawn – Kiesha Warren-Gordon (Assoc Professor, Criminal Justice & Criminology)
Part 3: Everyday Grace – Akilah Nosakhere (Muncie Community Librarian)
Part 4: Rebellious Imagination – Ruby Cain (Assoc Prof of Practice, Adult & Community Education)
Part 5: Courage is Contagious – Courtney Jarrett (Director of Disability Services)
We look forward to discussing and learning with you!
