French guitarist Gabriel Bianco has won first prize in several international guitar competitions including the 2008 Guitar Foundation of America Competition and has performed in over 30 music festivals around the world. He is a member of Quatuor Eclisses, a guitar quartet that performs innovative transcriptions of celebrated orchestral and piano repertoire. In 2009, Bianco’s first solo CD was released on Naxos.

About the Guitar Festival
The Guitar Festival at Ball State University's School of Music celebrates over thirty years of concerts devoted to the classical guitar! Every year the School of Music hosts a performer who has won the Guitar Foundation of America International Competition or an artist on the verge of an international career. Past performers have included Guitar Foundation of America winners Joseph Hagedorn, Antigoni Goni, and Gaelle Solal. In cooperation with the College of Fine Arts and Emens Auditorium, guests have also included the world famous Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet.
