This summer, the festival features School of Music faculty, students, and guest artists in two concerts. Performers on this concert include Hyery Hwang (soprano), Kathleen Maureer (mezzo-soprano), Jim Rhinehart (piano), James Helton (piano), Mei Zhong (soprano), and Meryl Mantione (mezzo-soprano). Program to include works by Robert Schumann, Frank Bridge, Johannes Brahms, George Gershwin, Kurt Weill, Richard Rodgers, and Meredith Willson.

Free and open to the public. Financial support for the summer Chamber Music Festival is provided through the Sue Derexa Smith Memorial Concert Series Fund.

This concert also celebrates National Chamber Music Month, a celebration of the many styles of small ensemble music performed in the U.S. today. Ball State University will join thousands of musicians and hundreds of concert presenters across the country this May in celebrating National Chamber Music Month!

This is the first of two Chamber Music Festival concerts. The second concert will take place on Sunday, June 3 (3 p.m.) in the Mueller Lobby of Sursa Performance Hall.
