Founded in 1994, the Indianapolis-based Buselli-Wallarab Jazz Orchestra (BWJO) is a 17-piece ensemble that consists of some of the finest freelance jazz artists in the Midwest. The BWJO enjoys an international reputation for its high standard of artistry, musicianship, and tradition and was recognized by Downbeat Magazine in 2010 as having recorded one of the 100 best jazz albums of the decade ("Basically Baker: The Music of David Baker"). The remaining six recordings by the ensemble have received rave critical reviews in major international publications. Co-leader Mark Buselli is director of jazz studies at Ball State University, and co-leader Brent Wallarab is associate professor of jazz studies at the IU Bloomington Jacobs School of Music.

The program will include a jazz suite dedicated to the 100th year of recorded jazz music as well as music to celebrate the holidays.
