John Pomeroy is an American animator, producer, writer, storyboard artist, character designer, and painter. He has worked for Walt Disney Studios as well as Don Bluth Studios in Ireland. He was mentored under famed animator Frank Thomas, one of Walt Disney’s Nine Old Men. His career spans between the end of the Golden age of animation to today’s current feature length animated films. He started his animation career in 1973 and has worked on animated films such as: Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Rescuers, Pete’s Dragon,  Banjo the Woodpile Cat, The Fox and the Hound, The Secret of NIMH, Dragon’s Lair, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, Pocahontas, Fantasia 2000, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet, Curious George, and The Simpsons Movie. He has been a supervising or directing animator for over a dozen feature film characters.
