Solar eclipse glasses will be available to community guests for a suggested cash donation of $1/pair, while supplies last, at the Brown Planetarium Lobby. Limit 10 pairs per person.
Ball State students, faculty, and staff may pick up glasses with BSU ID at select distribution sites across campus, while supplies last: the Student Center, University Libraries (all branches), Emens Auditorium, dining halls (North Dining, Woodworth, and the Atrium), University Bookstore, Worthen Arena, Gora Recreation and Wellness Center, residence halls, the David Letterman Communication and Media Building - LB102, the David Owsley Museum of Art, and Planetarium public events.
Learn more about the upcoming total solar eclipse happening at Ball State to prepare for this spectacular event. Glasses are partially funded through support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Simons Foundation.
- The planetarium is located on the west end of the Cooper Science Building, at 2111 W. Riverside Ave., Muncie, IN.
- There will not be any planetarium programs during these hours as they are for eclipse glasses pickup only. Visit the planetarium calendar for a listing of our free public programs.
- We greatly appreciate your support and cash donations are accepted at pickup.
- If you are interested in acquiring a large number of eclipse glasses for your organization fill out the Eclipse Glasses Request Form to be considered.
