Modern Languages and Classics is joining Bracken Library’s Friday Night Cardboard Event on Friday, November 15, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. to play tabletop games related to all the languages and/or cultures taught in the department.

The session will be in the Educational Resources section of the library on the lower level. Very popular games which can be played even with limited German, Chinese, Japanese, French, Arabic, and Spanish, will be included, as well as games in English related to Classical and other cultures. Game rules will be explained in English as needed. This will be an excellent chance to practice your language skills in a limited but still communicative activity. Cheat sheets will be available for game terms in the modern languages, and some helpers will be on hand. Even beginners can do this! There is already a German contingent eager to attend. How many participants can your language and/or culture section rustle up?
