Marianne Boruch is the author of nine books of poems, most recently Eventually One Dreams the Real Thing, and Cadaver, Speak. An essayist as well as a poet, Boruch has also published the critical works The Little Death of Self, In the Blue Pharmacy and Poetry’s Old Air, as well as a memoir, The Glimpse Traveler. Boruch has earned fellowships from the Rockefeller Foundation, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts. She developed the creative writing MFA program at Purdue University in 1997, serving as its first director until 2005. She currently lives in West Lafayette, Indiana.
