Abe's lecture will touch upon a brief history about the water politics in California and the design challenges and opportunities of the drought in Southern California. Learn about Green Infrastructure in a post-industrial city and how film and art informs design practice.
Calvin Abe, President, AHBE Landscape Architects, has more than 30 years of professional experience in urban design and landscape architecture. Over time the scale, variety, and complexity of these projects has brought expertise within Southern California and other parts of the world. He is known for his ability to transform conceptual designs into artful built forms for urban environments. He seeks collaborations with clients, architects, designers, artists, scientists and engineers to develop and implement innovative and technically sound designs. In addition, Calvin's creativity is expressed though art installations stemming from a personal, environmental, and urban narrative. One CEU approved through AIA and LA CES. Location: AB 100.
