Maps can be informative, compelling, and revealing and are found in almost every discipline and field. This workshop will discuss the essential elements of mapping and spatial visualization in digital scholarship. We will introduce fundamental principles, discuss the role of the digital in mapping projects, and critique real-world examples. Additionally, we will outline multiple platforms for spatial visualization and analysis available at Ball State University.
