Finding full text articles on publishers’ websites and Google Scholar just got easier thanks to University Libraries and LibKey Nomad. Once installed, the Nomad plugin will display an icon on webpages when it detects citation information. The icon will allow you to download the full text or direct you to an Interlibrary Loan form when full text isn’t directly available. This brief workshop will demonstrate the installation process for Chrome and Firefox and show how LibKey Nomad works.

Copyright and access are critical components of digital scholarship. In this workshop, attendees will learn how copyright and access apply to digital scholarship in an academic setting. We will discuss the copyright of existing digital projects and define your rights as digital scholarship practitioners. We will address concepts including fair use, CC-BY, and others.

Learn effective search techniques and explore sources for scholarly, professional, or newspaper articles on topics in architecture, construction management, historic preservation, interior design, urban design, or urban planning.
4 p.m.
This workshop for music education students, will explore search strategies and resources useful for research into the teaching and learning of music. Resources discussed will include research databases ERIC and APA PsycINFO, as well as resources from the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) website.
