However, the Bureau of Labor Statistics is a prolific collector and disseminator of data too, offering a wealth of information and insight into employment and the economy in the U.S. Come to this workshop to learn how to gather data about employment, unemployment, pay and benefits, consumer expenditures, time use, and more using the Bureau of Labor Statistics' online tools.

In this workshop, we will introduce Omeka, a free web archiving and publishing platform for sharing digital collections and creating media-rich exhibits. We will discuss its use, look at some example cases, and walk through the process of uploading items, crafting an exhibit, and adding engaging features.
