Driven to re-imagine how we must prepare musicians to thrive within the shifting marketplace and cultural landscape of the contemporary moment, Mark Rabideau draws upon more than two decades as a tenured faculty member, accomplished musical artist, innovative arts and cultural entrepreneur, and visionary scholar and administrator. Events are free and open to the public.
Praveen Prathapan (Indian classical flute) and Janan Sathiendran (tabla/percussion), both 22 years old, are Indian classical musicians and medical students from London, UK. Both were introduced to Indian classical music at a young age by their fathers and since have become two of Europe's most highly sought after artists. They are also two of the founders of The Fusion Project, the first major Hindi/English bilingual band, who seamlessly blend elements of Indian classical music with popular Western music. This concert is free and open to the public.
