Buckingham Career Day is an opportunity for our students across campus to learn about the hospitality, commercial, and residential real estate industries. The event introduces students to careers in this field and offers them opportunities to interact with industry professionals and ask questions about their unique interests. It is well-documented that economic freedom improves well-being in various ways. However, there are gender disparities in economic freedom. In many countries around the world, women are prevented from having the same economic freedoms as men. When women are granted the same economic opportunities and freedoms as men, it unlocks many benefits for all.Dr. Kerianne Lawson is an Assistant Professor in Agribusiness and Applied Economics at North Dakota State University. Dr. Lawson’s research interests include economic freedom at the local, state, and national levels, crime and civil unrest, and electricity reliability.
