The GIS Research and Map Collection (GRMC) includes a substantial collection of reference materials available for research. Reference materials do not circulate; however, special accommodations will be allowed for faculty and staff using materials in the classroom or for other special projects.

The considerable holdings in the GRMC reference collection include soil surveys, literature of the history of cartography, map catalogs, gazetteers and geographical dictionaries, place-name literature, historic county atlases, and the most recent world atlases and United States road atlases, and GIS reference books and software.

For more information about reference materials available in the GRMC, please contact Melissa Gentry at 765-285-1097 or email,  or search the University Libraries CardCat online catalog.
