Reel Inclusion: A Film Series - "A Lot Like You"
In "A Lot Like You," filmmaker Eliaichi Kimaro, a mixed-race, first-generation American of Tanzanian and Korean descent, examines her own racial identity and heritage by exploring her father’s life and upbringing and the culture of the Chagga people. Through this filmmaking process, Kimaro uncovers and examines the ways in which trauma and sexual violence shaped her family history.
