Instructor of Theatre
Jonathan Jensen (he/him) is an adjunct professor of Theatre Management at Ball State University. His course focuses on non-profit theatre management principles and techniques including, but not limited to: Mission, Vision, & Values Statements, Strategic Planning, Staffing & Volunteer Relations, Artistic Programming, Marketing & Communications, Budgeting, and Fundraising for students in their junior and senior years of study.
Jonathan currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, IL where he is responsible for all philanthropic operations of the Paramount Arts Centre, Inc. and Aurora Civic Center Authority. Prior to his work at Paramount, Jonathan served in arts leadership positions as the Director of Patron Services at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Managing Director at Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, and Director of Development for the College of Fine Arts at Ball State.
Jonathan holds Bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre from Ball State University. He currently resides in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife, daughter and two rescue dogs.
