Tuesday, November 6 | 7 p.m.

David Haynes, an Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities alumnus and current faculty member, will present one of his short films, "Break My Bones", and discuss his upcoming short film, "Base Camp." Add to your calendar.

Schools Within the Context of Community Reunion

Vince Bertram: “Dream Differently: Work is Changing, Schools Must Too”

Wednesday, December 12 | 7 p.m.

Ball State alumnus Vince Bertram will speak. Bertram is president and CEO of Project Lead The Way, a nonprofit that develops STEM curricula for elementary, middle, and high schools. Add to your calendar.

Shirley Brice Heath: “My Granny’s Wishbone Pin and Other Tales of Hope”

Thursday, December 13 | 7 p.m.

Anthropological linguist Shirley Brice Heath will speak. Brice Heath is a Professor-at-Large at Brown University, director of international enquiry network Creative Partnerships, and the Margary Bailey Professor of English and Dramatic Literature and professor of linguistics, emerita at Stanford University. She has conducted research in minority-language communities on how members learn oral and written language. Add to your calendar.
