BACKGROUND:

Ms. Siler graduated from Chesapeake College in 1975 and earned her paralegal degree from Chesapeake College in 1981. She spent nearly four decades as a legal assistant in law firms beginning on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Most of her career was spent in working “K” street law firms in Washington D.C. These firms’ practice areas included government relations, patent prosecution and litigation, employment and labor relations, environmental law, real estate, probate, banking, trademark and copyright, tax and bond, corporate matters, and veterans and civil rights law. During this time, Ms. Siler was fortunate to have learned and worked with national political leaders of both parties including Presidential candidates and civil rights leaders. Ms. Siler was also acknowledged for her work on the book Land Use in America, the report of the sustainable use of land, by Henry L. Diamond and Patrick Noonan in 1996. In July 2011, Ms. Siler came to Ball State University’s Office of Charter Schools in July 2011 and currently serves as the Fiscal Analyst to charter schools throughout the State of Indiana.
